"You know, when you love the tree, the bird, the light on the water, when you love your neighbor, your wife, your husband, without jealousy, that love has never been touched by hate, when there is that love, that love itself is sacred."
As strange as it sounds, one of my greatest hobbies is people watching. I was in Starbucks yesterday. A girl walked in. She seemed very cultured and poised. She saw a friend from childhood. They began to make small talk which led to them sitting with each other. They reminisced about old times and updated each other about their lives since their last meeting. Meanwhile, I was typing on my computer, but I couldn't help but to listen to their conversation. They both told amazing stories of their trips abroad and their upcoming plans. I wanted so desperately to go up and talk to them. Introduce myself to these complete strangers. I find people fascinating. Whenever I meet someone new, I always ask them as many questions as I can. I try to explore their world, hear their stories. My greatest fear is that I will meet someone without getting properly acquainted, and then never see them again. I try to take a little piece of everyone I meet with me. As I was in Starbucks, I took a little piece of these two delighted strangers, and I really made my day.
