what's in the oven?

So, I haven't shared a recipe with you guys in a long time. Like maybe 3 months? Wow, that's a long time. For the newer readers, I love to bake. Gooey brownies, red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing, black berry cobbler, and basically any type of cookie. Did I mention, I love baked goods!? These cookies were sort of a risk. I have miserably failed at making double chocolate chip cookies. They have just never turned out how I would have liked them. These on the other hand were, pardon my bragging, delectable. A little crunch on the outside, very chewy on the inside. So without further ado, here is the recipe for these amazing cookies-

Ingredients:
11/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cups cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 (1 stick) salted butter, softened
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease cookie sheet.
2. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Beat butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla in large bowl until well blended. Add eggs; beat well. Gradually add flour mixture, blending well. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheet.
3. Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until cookies are set. Do not over-bake. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.

And that's it. A very easy recipe, but totally delicious!

So, I was requested by a reader to post some detail photographs from skirt I wore today. I would like to apologize for not doing this earlier. You can always request additional detail pictures of any outfit I wear.

  9. Mmmm, the cookies look nice! I wish I could bake but I still don't trust my oven after the great cockroach purge in May. I'm sure the chemicals must still be in there!
